2012.

Well here we are at the end of another long year. A heck of a lot has happened in camp MAKE in 2012 but I'm not going to walk us all back through it. Rather, I'd like to give a special shout-out first to a few people who impacted our year in ways we couldn't have predicted. So, to Darren Taylor, Phil Rhodes, Michelle Temple and Grayson Currin...from the bottom of our hearts: THANK YOU. You know what and you know why.

Second, a huge, heaping pile of eternal gratitude to every reviewer and publication who took the time to not only listen to our music but put their feelings about it in print, every venue, promoter and band we had the pleasure to work or play with and every single one of you who supported us by coming to our shows, through social media or buying our records and helping to put some of that money back in the band fund. Without you this wouldn't be very fun at all, so thank you. We hope to continue pleasing you as we explore the areas of sound which surround us.

Which brings us to the future. While we do not know exactly what 2013 will bring for MAKE, of this we are certain: No matter how it has to happen, 2013 will see the full-length follow-up to 'Trephine' and who knows...maybe more.

One other thing for certain: We'll be playing the last goddamn metal show which DIVEbar in Raleigh will ever host. It's this Saturday night, the 29th. Come help us celebrate the new year's approach!
 R.I.P. DIVEbar 2012.

But hey, it's not all about us. Here's a small insight into our minds with a few of our favorite records of 2012:

Scott:

Scott Walker - 'Bish Bosch'
Oren Ambarchi - 'Audience of One'

Spencer:

Swans - 'The Seer'
Dragged Into Sunlight - 'Widowmaker'

Matt:

Carlton Melton - 'Photos of Photos'
Carter Tutti Void - 'Transverse'

Pretty goddamn good list if you ask me. Take care, world out there.

-MAKE

Addendum: I forgot to make mention about the 2012 Year End lists. Whether they were your personal lists you've shared or the official lists your publication made...we thank you. There is so much music produced every year and for our own to even be considered by any of you is a very high honor. We hope you enjoy the next record even more. Three cheers from the three of us, here's to the new year!!!
